CARGO TERMINAL

The MARVAL Mejillones cargo terminal counts with areas for the storage/pre-stacking of loaded and empty containers for performing Import and export operations. In addition, has special areas for stuffing/unstuffing 20’, 40’, Flat Racks and Open Top containers, as well as for LCL cargoes.

The cargo is handled with a high safety standard, generating for each operation service orders, packing lists, reports, and inventory control.

CARGO SERVICES

The terminal renders a wide range of services highligthting: cargo segregation, marking, palletizing, lashing and Cross-Docking of all type of cargoes.Since all laden export containers must have a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) certificate before it is loaded onto a ship, the terminal provides weighting services to laden containers and respective certification, as per SOLAS convention and local government bureau (DIRECTEMAR).

Services are supported by a WMS platform that allows to visualize online the status of each item in the various stages of the logistics chain.

A highly qualified and experienced human team together with first class equipment enables the terminal to respond with professional and efficient services to the specialized needs of the clients of this important industrial zone.

TRACING & VISIBILITY

MARVAL counts with an advanced solution for managing internal resources involved in the cargo operations offering customers an important support tool.Through the WMSTEK System customers count with high tracing and visibility levels regarding inventory control and transport operations.The system also offers the facility to adapt special modules in order to integrate the management and control systems of each customer.

SECURITY AND RISK PREVENTION

The terminal counts with several security systems having surveillance cameras connected to police stations and 24 hour guard service in addition to gate controls.

All services fulfill the company´s personnel security and wellness policies, being a key factor for assuring quality and produce outstanding services.

Furthermore, all drivers and operators are duly qualified in the best practices for cargo handling, lashing and lifting.

INLAND TRANSPORT

The MARVAL Mejillones Terminal performs the following inland transport services:

• Dry containers, including, flat racks & flat beds.
• Break Bulk cargoes (homogeneous and heterogenous).
• Heavy lifts and extra dimension cargoes.

Furthermore, the Company counts with the TMS system, for real time monitoring of its trucking fleet having available client access option.
